This season, I am all about delivering a sweeping style statement via my favorite outerwear pieces. So, as you can imagine, I have been adding to my collection. Today, I am spotlighting my new Rachel Zoe black wool cape as my show-stopper. Crafted in a plush, cashmere-softened wool-blend fabric, the classic style is elevated by a quintet of chic brass-tipped bone toggles. With such beautiful details, this cape is a layer-over-everything kind of garment. Meaning, I am counting on it to effortlessly take me through the coming winter months in style.

While the flared hem design is finished with practical front arm slots, today I have styled the cape open and over my shoulders in order to reveal my chunky cable knit sweater. I opted to layer this timeless investment piece over a yellow turtleneck cable knit sweater, faux leather skinny pants, and caged pointed high heels for a sharp finish.

The Rachel Zoe black wool cape is the perfect city-chic cover-up. Overall, capes are a new-season staple. A staple that is sure to envelope your look in a classically stylish aesthetic. You can find all my outfit posts featuring capes here. While today’s look is perfect for city-life, I have also linked to another outfit featuring a fetching cape that I wore while exploring one of my favorite snowy locations.
