3 Swimsuits to Boost Your Holiday Style at the Beach
Sharing my last post from my recent trip to Maui, Hawaii! Today, I wanted to highlight 3 swimsuits to boost your holiday style while at the beach. With winter almost upon us, it is the perfect time to escape on a tropical vacation. While on my most recent trip, I found packing a variety of styles had me ready for almost any beach-itinerary.
The first few days in the sun can be quiet a shock to my skin! Coming from Seattle, I hadn’t been in the sun recently so it's pretty fair to say I was more than a little pale! Nowadays, skin protection is really important to me. So, for a day of snorkeling or paddle boarding in the direct sun, my first look featuring my Tommy Bahama palm paisley long-sleeve rash guard was a must. The vivid, multicolor palm pattern is ultra-playful while the long-sleeves and sporty zipper offer excellent protection from the sun.
While traveling, layers are always a smart way to go. While in Maui, I found that adding a cardigan to my beach look was a fun way to put a sophisticated spin on beach-style. Unlike more traditional cover-ups, I like how the open front of the cardigan allows me to show off my suit a bit, while still creating coverage for cooler mornings or evenings. I personally love this Tommy Bahama cardigan for its nautical stripes and long fringe along the edges.
For a more fashion-forward approach to swimwear, I’ve recently found one-pieces to be a fun alternative to my go-to bikini! Cool cutouts on the back and along the sides easily adds edge to any suit. The best part, however, I find is that while the strappy details add maximum style points, the traditional silhouette of the suit keeps it feeling sporty - meaning no wardrobe malfunctions while splashing around in the surf!
