New York Fashion Week Day Four Outfit
Today I am excited to share my New York Fashion Week day four outfit plus some behind-the-scenes photos from the runway shows I attended this day. For the first time during fashion week I ditched dresses for pants! It felt good to switch things up. I opted to wear leather pants with my borrowed-from-mom tweed Chanel jacket (thanks mom!) For a sartorial appeal, I styled the jacket with a tailored white collared shirt, which I actually bought in the men’s department in a slim-fit because I wanted that crisp dress shirt feel, and my go-to wide-brimmed hat.
On the runways, I started to notice a few trends reoccurring. Firstly, purples and other jewel tones were ev-ery-where! From show to show, the deeply vibrant colors couldn’t be missed. Secondly, I couldn’t help but be overjoyed by how much sparkle I saw working its way down the catwalk. From full-on beading to small embellishments, so many designers were all about the bling. Finally, there was fur. for. days. Although a no-brainer for the fall/winter season and a perennial trend, fur overwhelmed the runways. And, in all colors.
