Good Girl Gone Plaid
With the weather warming up for the official start to the spring season, off-the-shoulder tops and playful plaid pants are on my list of official fashion must-haves! For today's look, I thought about how to wear plaid pants in a fresh, new way. I could have easily paired my plaid pants with a simple white blouse or cardigan, but both those options just felt too buttoned-up. Taking inspiration from the playful side of the '60s, I've opted to pair my show-stopping pair of ‘60s-style high-waisted plaid ankle pants with a perforated faux-leather off-the-shoulder crop top. Off-the-shoulder silhouettes offer a youthful, care-free vibe that dresses down the plaid pants in the best of ways. Together, the combo is weekend-ready; so I'm filling my calendar with backyard BBQs and boardwalk shopping! 'Tis the season to give those shoulders the spotlight! I have to mention too that although made of a leather-like material, the perforated leather crop top is super lightweight and totally wearable in warmer temps, so I'm feeling cool in every sense of the word. I've accessorized with my adorable quilted leather bucket tote bag that can be worn as either a shoulder or crossbody and retro leather sandals by Jimmy Choo.
