Late Summer Bliss
The last of my hydrangea blooms. Many have begun to fade into shades of brown and red, signaling the arrival of fall. This season, I relocated my hydrangea pots and they flourished. With so much growth, I collected cuttings from each hydrangea to propagate. I have been growing them inside for a few weeks now. I took 4-6 inch stems and planted them in these pots. I make sure to mist them every few days to encourage their growth.
Caring for a newborn can make it challenging to spend time in the garden. I've been using a baby wrap. I appreciate how these carriers offer freedom, closeness, and comfort for both of us. It has created a harmonious balance between gardening and parenting.
Late summer is my favorite time of the season as it allows me to fully appreciate the flowers I've carefully nurtured throughout spring. I find that spending time in my garden can be a meditative experience, helping me find serenity amidst life's demands. I'm currently obsessed with dahlias; they've become my favorite flowers to cultivate. I cut a few blooms every couple of days. Typically, I arrange the flowers in a vase in my kitchen. I've come to really appreciate their presence throughout the summer.
