Well I am happy to report that I survived New York Fashion Week and New York's freezing temperatures! It was literally a whirlwind of a trip and I've barely slept between attending shows, after parties, shooting photos, and (of course) sharing every second on social media, but it was incredible and as usual, totally worth it! I'm already counting the days until I return again in September! Anyways, I will be posting regularly now that I am back in Seattle. In the meantime however, do check out my Instagram and Twitter for tons of New York Fashion Week content.

Today, I am so excited to share my New York Fashion Week Day One Outfit on the blog! As I just mentioned, the temperatures during fashion week were anything but welcoming. Most days temperatures were in the single digits and there definitely wasn't a day I didn't see snow fall. Nevertheless, the freezing conditions made for some of the best fashion moments! Everyone running from show to show opted for oversized jackets, fur coats in all colors, and statement hats. As you can see, I too was all about the layers. For day one, I went for a jet set meets bohemian look featuring a button down maxi dress in snake print by Missguided. With both a fur vest and coat layered over my maxi dress I was definitely ready to fight any freezing temperatures. To finish off the look, I opted for black accessories with gold hardware - can't go wrong with Chanel and Gucci at your side (and on your feet). To my excitement, my New York Fashion Week day one outfit was featured by E! Online for best street style, here's the link to the article.

Look back for more fashion week outfits!
