Made from panels of striped and floral-lace, this Self-Portrait lace a-line dress was a favorite piece of mine to wear while attending New York Fashion Week. While the intricate lace panels are quite beautiful, the lace corsetry at the neckline and 3/4 bell sleeves are my favorite details. Together they give a nod to the 70s while being equally of-the-moment.

Self-Portrait, designed by Malaysia-born, London-based designer, Han Chong, has quickly become one of my favorite brands over the past two seasons. Fusing classic details with edgy street style, Self-Portrait’s contemporary aesthetic is all about a modern interpretation on soft feminine silhouettes and fabrics.

Fashion Week aside, I'm super excited about how great of a transitional piece this lacy dress is. As the weather slowly shifts from summer to fall temperatures, this will be a piece that can meet the demands of either season. While the sheer quality of the dress (thanks to the tonal cutout lining of the bust panel and underskirt) bodes well for warmer temperatures, the beautiful 3/4 bell sleeves make the piece totally fall appropriate.

While this show-stopper of a dress doesn't really need any additional accessories, I finished the lacy look off with my go-to Chloe Drew bag, lace-up sandals featuring a chunky heel, and retro Ray Ban Sunglasses.
