Survive Winter in Shearling
With the winter months in full-force, my focus has been directed toward the goal of: how to stay warm. While traveling to a tropical destination probably tops the list as my favorite solution, sweaters and shearling are both adequate runner-ups. Today's faux-shearling vest is a must-have for this time of year. Moreover, I find that when paired with jeans, knits, and boots, it makes for a great outfit no matter your location. Hope you find a bit of inspiration in my shearling vest outfit idea for winter!
It is pretty easy to argue that the coziness of shearling is unparalleled. So lately I have been making a point to work some toasty-warm shearling into my wardrobe. In doing so, I have thought a lot about how to make shearling work for a city girl. I found that the combo of shearling, distressed skinny jeans, and oversized knits makes for the perfect city girl style this season. And since I totally value comfort (maybe just as much as warmth), finding warm pieces that simultaneously look totally chic is such a win-win from my point of view. That being said, it's not hard to see why I particularly love this Rachel Zoe Jordy Sweater. Its exaggerated bell sleeves and super chunky turtleneck make it totally unique and of-the-moment because of its nod to the 70s bohemian aesthetic.
I find that just like having the perfect handbag or shoe, outerwear is also an anchor that can tie everything together, so I have linked to more looks featuring furry coats. I am also linking to my previous posts featuring more fashionable winter outfit ideas and more outfits featuring denim.
