Trading your Handbag for a Backpack
Recently I've been on a crossbody handbag kick. Mostly for the ease of being hands-free while I am going about my day, running to a meeting, or while getting some serious shopping done. However, crossbody bags do have their limitations - as in I can pretty much only carry my phone, credit card, and lipgloss if I am lucky. While often this is really all I need, there are times when I need to be more prepared. You know... sunglasses, an umbrella, or an extra scarf for when you have no idea what the weather is going to be like. Plus, I almost always have my camera with me. So now-a-days, when I am in need of a larger carry-all, it's all about the backpack. The backpack is such a youthful alternative to an oversized handbag hanging from your arm. Throwing on a backpack, although it may be for utility, just screams effortless style. Moreover, it's still totally hands-free! I'm a huge fan of this particular quilted leather backpack by Vera Bradley! It's urban, it's totally chic, and it totally works with any look. The quilted detail elevates the look of the bag, giving it the perfect balance of sophistication and edge. And, I have to say, the quilted leather is oh-so-soft-and-creamy. Even better, it's super roomy so I can pretty much carry everything and anything I may need for the day. I mean it fits my camera AND laptop. I'd totally recommend this bag for both day-to-day use and for travel as it's super lightweight. It comes in several colors and at $258 it won't break the bank as this is definitely an investment piece that won't go out of style. What do you think about trading your handbag for a backpack?
