Military Inspired Spring Style

I'm feeling ready for the concrete jungle in this olive khaki shirtdress by Sanctuary! Although a timeless fabric, khaki has returned this season with increased popularity. Appearing in a variety of styles on the runway, designers offered both military silhouettes and urban-safari inspired looks. With snap-down epaulets, roll-tab sleeves and a quartet of front pockets, this cargo shirt dress is the perfect khaki nod to this spring's military influences. Not only is it perfectly on trend, it is a one-stop-shop for achieving this season’s relaxed military style. So, the big question, how to style the khaki military shirt dress trend this spring. Simply pair with neutral accessories in tans and browns from your existing wardrobe as I have, and voilà! You're army-inspired.  I must say that one key to perfect military-inspired style, rather than looking "in uniform", is to pair the tough fabrics with softer ones. I've done so by layering on my tan fur vest to break up the structured silhouette of the shirt dress. However, I've opted to wear my Valentino Rockstud T-Strap Sandal featuring high-shine metal studs as an additional nod to this season's sophisticated military trend.
