NYFW Day One
Hello! I am freshly back from my trip to New York to attend New York Fashion Week! Attending is both a living dream and whirlwind of chaos - all at the same time. For almost a week, I spent days packed with back-to-back shows, presentations, meetings, and parties. Although I had little time to sleep and spent wayyyy too much money on Uber, I loved every minute of it! I am still going through all of my photos and digesting each runway show, but wanted to share a few of my favorite moments from day one of my New York Fashion Week experience.
On my first day attending New York Fashion Week, I started the day off with the Tadashi Shoji Show. At this show, I was lucky enough to gain backstage access and observe the hair, makeup, and nail artists in action. From there I took a front row seat to enjoy the show. The collection was full of sheer flowing fabrics and lots of floral embroidery. (To watch the whole show and see all of the pieces I fell in love with, click here!)
Following the Tadashi Shoji show, I jumped in an Uber to the Marissa Webb show. Marissa Webb's spring/summer 2016 collection offered up a unique pairing of military references and head-to-toe floral prints. The romance and femininity of the prints beautifully contrasted with the tough military-inspired tailoring.
While I attended other events this day, Tadashi Shoji and Marissa Webb were the definite highlights. Seeing so much that I liked on the runway the first day had me so excited for the days to come, which I will be sharing ASAP.
