Packing for Your Next Ski Trip
Checking-in again from Whistler, Canada! I am excited to share another cold-weather outfit. An outfit, which I am happy to report, kept me from freezing while exploring my favorite Whistler shops. This is important because as a true fashion girl, I don't like making sacrifices when it comes to my personal style, even at 7,165 feet.
Frequently traveling to snowy Whistler, Canada has definitely taught me a few things, especially when it comes to what to pack for the ultimate chic ski trip. I find that dressing for cold-weather is all about the layers. Layers are a great for both staying warm and keeping your outfit interesting. For today's look, I layered three uber-warm pieces for mountain-top perfection. Each is a winter staple in their own right, but when combined made for a cozy-cute ensemble. As a base, I started with a long-sleeve cotton-cashmere turtleneck, a classic that is sumptuously soft! Staying with the grey color scheme, I layered a toggle cardigan. Adding to the cozy appeal of the turtleneck, the long cardigan boasts striking rope toggle closures for an outdoorsy spin. Finally, what is a winter ski outfit with out a touch of fur?! I layered one of my favorite vests over my shoulders. A touch of texture always seems to instantly elevate an entire look. I topped off the look with quilted boots featuring a classic curb chain and lace-up front.
All in all, my essentials for what to pack for the ultimate chic ski trip include: a warm turtleneck, an equally toasty sweater, a stylish fur topper, and a pair of winter boots. For extra-warmth, a pom-pom beanie, scarf, and gloves. For extra-extra-warmth, a long puffer jacket.
